Casey & Jordan decided to scrap the idea of having a ‘traditional’ wedding and hop on my PASSPORT program and decided to hop on a place to have their Mount Cook New Zealand elopement.
Casey found me on Instagram when I was promoting my PASSPORT Adventures, and knew this is what she wanted to do. After talking it over with Jordan, they booked the New Zealand Adventure.
I met these two amazing humans in Colorado, as thew flew in for their engagement session high in the rockies. I knew while shooting their engagement session, that I would need to find the most amazing location for these two. They are adventurous, romantically in love and want something unique ands beautiful foe their elopement.
As I started to research locations in New Zealand where we would shoot their adventurous elopement, I came across Mount Cook National Park and the Hooker Valley Track. This was it! This was the place where I would shoot their elopement.
The evening before the elopement, Mount Cook received an unusual, heavy snowstorm, covering the ground and mountain with fresh snow. As I met up with Casey & Jordan in the morning, preparing for the trek to Mount Cook, we couldn’t get over how beautiful the snow was, as it capped the mountain peaks. We took the trek up Hooker Valley Track, and found the perfect view point of the Mount Cook without being swarmed by the incoming tourists.
We spent over 12 hours & 8 miles of hiking, climbing rocks and sliding down cliffs, capturing their day in the most epic way possible.
This is an adventure I will always remember, thanks to Casey & Jordan.
